After he had cut open his abdomen, Rokk took away his Atomic Axe using his ability of magnetism control and Imra distracted him using telepathy long enough for Garth to knock him out using his electricity before Rokk took away his stolen Legion ring sending him back to the 31st century. Rokk, Garth and Imra then introduced themselves to Clark as the Legion of Super-Heroes. The three explained to Clark what he is truly destined to be - which is a model for all the galaxy for aliens to come to earth and live among humans.

Legion of Super-Heroes, or simply The Legion, is a team of alien super-heroes who formed in the 31st century as a homage to a hero from the past. Founding Legion members Rokk Krinn, Garth Ranzz and Imra Ardeen traveled through time back to the 21st century to stop the Persuader from killing Superman, aka Clark Kent. They found him to be at Clark's barn where he had just returned from seeing Jimmy off to Star City. After he had cut open his abdomen, Rokk took away his Atomic Axe using his ability of magnetism control and Imra distracted him using telepathy long enough for Garth to knock him out using his electricity before Rokk took away his stolen Legion ring sending him back to the 31st century.
Technology
Coming from the 31st century, technology is far more advanced than it is in the 21st century and so the Legion are able to time travel using Legion rings. A person can wear the ring and transport themselves anywhere in time and space as shown when the Persuader stole a Legion ring and went back in time to kill Kal-El so that he wouldn't be able to stop Brainiac from taking all knowledge off of Earth before Doomsday destroyed it.

- Rokk Krinn / Cosmic Boy : He has the power of all magnetic forces and is able to control them at will.
- Garth Ranzz / Lightning Lad : He has the power to generate electricity within his body and manipulate it externally.
- Imra Ardeen / Saturn Girl : She has the power of telepathy and can communicate with other beings, read minds and control other minds.
- Brainiac 5 : The powerful artificial intelligence reprogrammed to be a force for good and a member of the Legion.
- Chameleon Boy : He can take the form of any object or organism his body can 'scan' with their antennae and morph into it within seconds.
- People who have worked with or have been involved with the Legion at one point or another.
- Superman : Inspired the Legion to form. Was saved by the Legion and in return, helped them defeat Brainiac. At a later time he traveled to the 31st century to help them stop a war between Earth and New Krypton.
- Lana Lang : Imra Ardeen asked Lana to convince Clark to kill Chloe, but refused to do so.
- Supergirl : When she arrived to the 31st century she joined them but later she left the Legion to rejoin her people. She is now helping them stop the war between Earth and New Krypton.
31st century, also called the Future, is a time zone which is located in some other, unknown realm, which can be accessed by Legion rings. But they aren't that well protected, as many people (like the Persuader and Booster Gold) have stolen some. In the future, as described by the Legion themselves, there are observatories and museums one of which contains Clark Kent's Smallville High football-jacket and some others contain Legion rings.
The Legion of Super-Heroes, consisting of Garth Ranzz, Imra Ardeen and Rokk Krinn, is a team of super-heroes that work here. Rokk explains that in the future, Clark can fly, wears a red cape, and he inspires a lot of people, including the Legion, but others like the Persuader, despise him.
